Academy Nurses promote health and safety in the school environment
and provides health services to students, faculty and staff. As the
school health services specialist, nurses assist our students and
staff in attaining and/or maintaining optimum health, and promoting
positive health habits and attitudesResponsibilities
- Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute
illness
- Keep track of students' vaccination records and follows up with
families as needed
- Update students' medical history and files accordingly
- Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff
(e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
- Ensure compliance with national and local health
lawsQualifications
- BSN preferred
- LPN as long as they are willing to go back to school to get
their RN degree to become school certified (Tuition will be

talent.CompensationCompensation for this role is between $60,000
and $110,000. Most candidates who meet job description requirements
will receive an offer of $60,000-$74,000.Starting pay is determined
using various factors including but not limited to relevant
professional development, education certifications, and tenure with
Uncommon Schools.
- The range above represents our compensation scales for the
2025-2026 school year. If starting prior to June 30th, 2025,
compensation will be based on a slightly lower range, reflective of
current compensation scales. New hires who fall into this category
will see an increase in their compensation starting on July 1st,
2025 for next school year which aligns to the scale above.Benefits
