Overview The Graphic Designer is an energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who creates and produces point of sale for retail and on-premise customers. This individual will provide all graphic support to sales teams and suppliers. The Graphic Designer demonstrates all current design trends and best practices for both print and digital pieces. This person is responsible for developing creative concepts, implementing design strategies, and producing visual aspects for both corporate and brand marketing materials across all platforms through print, promotional, and digital media. This individual will seamlessly navigate through a range of high priority projects daily while managing tight deadlines. Responsibilities * Work closely with the Graphic Design Lead, Graphics Project Manager and Sales and Marketing to ensure we are delivering high-quality content within the timeframe requested.--- Conceptualize and design new POS to support CDI's business needsBe a "design advocate" for the creating impactful designs.--- Create and update menus, wine lists, shelf talkers, case cards and signage under established deadlines --- Develop original content while applying supplier standards, creativity, typography, photography, color and other ingredients to create innovative and on-brand creative solutions to differentiate our portfolio of products--- All aspects of print production, including large and small format printing, cutting, mounting, trimming, laminating, etc.--- Stay current on design trends and technologies, consistently share best practices with the team, in the spirit of continuous improvement--- Keep track of supplier billbacks for all projects--- Work with outside vendors to order menu accessories for accounts and all necessary paper and office products as needed--- Other duties, as assigned by the Senior Marketing Manager, may also be required Qualifications Education, Certifications and /or licenses: * Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, Graphic Design a plus Experience: * Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a professional design environment--- Print production experience a plus Knowledge/Skills: * Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign--- Positive energy with a can-do attitude and a thirst for knowledge, growth, and development.--- Superior knowledge of graphic design techniques--- Solid understanding of online production, offline production, and print production --- Ability to execute print ready designs on their own and clearly articulate ideas--- Works efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with acute attention to detail--- Ability to develop storyboard ideas and put together formal design presentations--- Video production and editing experience preferred. Including but not limited to turning concept briefs into short, finished videos using a combination of provided footage, still imagery, stock footage, and musical tracks--- Is accountable, takes direction with an open mind, seeks full ownership, and takes initiative--- Strong problem-solving skills--- Strategic thinking with attention to brand and marketing objectives--- Ability to work with company personnel at all levels and the ability to work collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
