Employee Q&A Job Responsibilities FARA Supportability Project Manager Stratford, Connecticut Job ID: 548150BR Date posted: Jan. 19, 2021 Locations: Stratford, Connecticut Program: Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) Description:The Supportability Project Manager will lead a highly skilled Supportability Sub-Integrated Product Team (IPT) within the Sustainment IPT in support of the Future Attack & Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) Program. The FARA Program is part of the U.S. Army Future Vertical Lift Programs within the Lockheed Martin-Sikorsky Line of Business (LOB). This role will provide technical leadership of functional elements in execution of program requirements consisting of Vehicle Health Management and Analytics, Logistics Support Analysis, Ground Support Equipment, Parts Provisioning, Logistics Information Systems, Technical Publications, Field Service Representatives, and Supply Chain. The project manager will integrate all key supportability elements to provide transformational fleet management capabilities to the U.S. Army. The project manager will interface and coordinate with other program IPTs to ensure collaboration and execution across the entire program objectives. This includes the Air Vehicle, Dynamic Systems, Vehicle Management and Control Systems, Mission Systems, and more.

            The manager will also serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for the Supportability Sub-IPT Control Accounts utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) System Metrics, technical and staffing risks, cost, schedule, performance, baseline in documents, and key Technical Performance Measures (TPM). The project manager will work with the Sustainment APM to provide timely and accurate projections of resource requirements as well as manage risks and opportunities. The project manager will ensure GRID is up to date to provide proper resource demand forecasting to functional teams.

            The project manager leverages proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of business or industry. In concert with the LOB and/or Market Segment Leadership, ensures program plans and technical baselines are consistent with Program Control processes and Global Sustainment Practices. Leads Supportability capture activities to provide on-time and compliant estimates and proposals. The position reports directly to the Sustainment Assistant Program Manager (APM) and is located in Stratford, CT.

            Specific position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
            --- Integration of Supportability elements to provide transformational fleet management
            --- Meet all assigned earned value cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives
            --- Manage Estimate At Completion (EAC) give-back financial metrics
            --- Develop and implement performance metrics to drive quality of assigned deliverables
            --- Lead proposal activities for new domestic and international business initiatives
            --- Plan/manage direct labor resource allocation within a functional matrix organization construct
            --- Lead cross-functional team to secure all required Engineering source data to meet objectives
            --- Formal presentations to internal and external audiences including senior leadership
            Basic Qualifications:
            --- Minimum of BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
            --- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management
            --- Minimum 3 years of experience in Fleet Management or Performance Based Logistics
            --- Strong understanding of Sustainment/Aftermarket Elements and the interrelationships and interdependencies
            --- Control Account Management (CAM) or other Experience in Earned Value Management System
            --- Risk & Opportunity Management
            --- Excellent communication and presentation skills
            --- U.S. citizen that holds or is qualified to obtain Secret level U.S. Government security clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
