Job Description:

The Market Development Director is accountable for the development of Pioneer s revenue growth profitability and market share. This position is located in California and reports to the Vice President, Manufactured Products Sector. The role is responsible for identifying prospective customers and developing long term relationships with new customers in the Electronics and Semiconductor market segment. The primary focus for this role is to understand current organizational capabilities as well as potential new capabilities to identify, develop, and grow Pioneer s revenue and profitability by partnering with strategic Original Equipment Manufacturers ( OEM ) and tier one suppliers, e.g., contract manufacturers with a direct connection to new programs and product development projects. Sector specific commercial success for assigned accounts, e.g., sales, profitability, market share and sector level brand value. Delivers on annual goals. Provides leadership to assess, understand and deliver on needs within the targeted market sectors: Conducts regular voice of customer ( VoC ) interviews with OEM and tier one decision makers to understand market sector unmet needs. Coordinates VoC feedback with Market Leadership, Engineering and Operations to develop optimized customer solutions. Coordinates with operations and engineering teams to identify and deliver new customer solutions that enable business development, differentiation, and market sector growth. Help identify the profitability of products and segments to optimize organizational capabilities and growth of the overall customer portfolio. Work with operations and the commercial organization to expand organizational capabilities that align with current customer needs, offer value to the customers and/or improve the quality of existing programs. Develop and communicate to key internal stakeholder s risk mitigation plans and processes. Report on strategic OEM and tier one customer performance to the Market Leadership, General Managers and Executive team. Participate in OEM and tier one supplier contract reviews and provide feedback to the commercial team and General Manager on any issues. Work with the MarCom team to increase awareness of programs, capabilities and any reoccurring opportunities for improvement with strategic OEMs and tier one suppliers. Support and collaborate with divisional Program Managers: New customer program/New Product Introduction (NPI) Phase Gate scheduling and adherence (sign-off) of critical phase gate steps with OEMs and tier one customers. Key regional customer business development. OEM and tier one customer business reviews, e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews Proactive resolution to any gaps in expectations and understanding between the Pioneer operations and customers. Project management support of multi-division strategic customer programs Position is field based. Requires collaboration with employees at all organizational levels. Significant influential leadership skills required. Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree required; Master of Business Administration preferred.
• 10 15 years of experience in electronics sector specific business development, sales or marketing required.
• Knowledge and experience in developing and launching new products in electronics sector required.
• Development of new technology market experience preferred.
• Contract and component manufacturing experience preferred.
