Registered Nurse (RN) | Psych Location: Bronx, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,350 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/15/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Psychiatric Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 34.5 hours per week Experience: 1 year in Psych experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: CPI or PMCS certification prior to start; BSN preferred Description: Department: Psychiatric (Adult) Number of Beds: 27 beds Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:8 Common Diagnoses: 18 adults, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, substance abuse, intellectually challenged population Patients are medically stable and admitted from emergency rooms. No detox or rehab patients are admitted to this unit. Charge Nurse and assistant nursing care coordinators run the unit 24 hours, with support from all shifts. Travelers may be placed in charge roles. Maximum patient assignment for charge nurse is 5-6 patients. Physical restraints may be utilized on this unit as required. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) assist with safety checks, room checks, vitals, weights, ADLs, and patient observations. RNs will round every 15 minutes and assist with phlebotomy and blood glucose checks. Respiratory therapy is available for patients needing oxygen or treatments. Monitoring technology is not utilized on this unit. RNs are responsible for reading cardiac strips. Travelers should remain flexible with scheduling and may be asked to fill gaps. Every other weekend and holiday requirements apply. Travelers are prioritized for floating to adult and children's psychiatric units. Scrub color is royal blue.
