Lockheed Martin Rotary Systems & Sciences (RSS) is looking for
qualified applicants for the Senior Technical Lead Manager position
located at Sikorsky Aircraft. This is a functional manager role
reporting to the RSS Director and that will manage a team of Senior
Program Technical Leads (TJ). The Tech Leads within this functional
group are deployed to major programs across the Sikorsky LOB within
RMS and are the IPT leads for Avionics, Mission Systems, and
Vehicle Management Systems. This leader role will be responsible
for facilitating and ensuring professional development of their
team by providing employee feedback and recognition, mentoring, and
support of each employee's career development/growth opportunities.
The leader will proactively connect with the team to ensure
flow-down of business visions and organizational initiatives and
partner with technical and program leadership to ensure staffing
demands are met. The ideal candidate must possess the interpersonal
and operational experience and expertise to manage a team in
handling cost, schedule and technical performance activities on

The responsibilities of the RSS Tech Lead Functional Manager role
--- Provide technical leadership to the Program Technical Leads
including functional engineers deployed to the supported
--- Technical oversight and management of RSS teams that include
Avionics, Electrical, Software, Flight Controls, Crew Station
Design and Qualification resources.
--- Platforms supported include CH-53K, FVL, CRH, VH-92, Black
Hawk, Seahawk, CMHP, S-92 , S-76.
--- Provide support to APM's and Program Managers to ensure
compliance to RSS contractual technical requirements, statement of
work, schedule and cost commitments.
--- Act as RSS Director Delegate for efforts relating to Platform
--- Develop close working relationship with other RSS functional
managers including Mission Systems Engineering, Integration & Test,
Systems, Engineering Sciences, and Flight Controls & Autonomous
--- Support the RSS product and execution strategies in order to
support the unique platforms and customers.
--- Support for the generation and management to RSS project plans
to include Platform System Performance Plan, Software Develop
Plans, System Integration Plans, and the program Integrated
Management Schedule "IMS".
--- Ensure that RSS Cost Account Managers and work package owners
status their work as required and maintain cost and schedule
--- Management of RSS technical work products to include Avionics
System Spec, Subsystem System Design Description, System
Requirement Verification Matrix, Acceptance Test & Engineering Test
Plans, Flight Test Plans, Test Reports, FMS Software Requirements,
Software Test Descriptions, and Formal Qualification Tests.
--- Support the Preliminary Design group for proposal generation,
technical solutions, compliance matrices, estimates and briefings
for new sales opportunities.
Inter-personnel skills and ability to collaborate are critical
success factors in addition to product and technical knowledge.
