Description: Encon is seeking a talented HVAC Residential Sheet-Metal Crew Leader with 3 years minimum experience. Wage Range: $25-$50/hr commensurate with experience + quarterly bonus $5k SIGN ON BONUS for CT HVAC license of type: D1, D2, S1, S2, S10, P2, P1, SM2 Benefits include:

  • Collaborate with technicians, project managers, clients/contractors, and installers to meet project goals.
  • Understand the layout of ductwork systems and equipment; read blueprints.
  • Understand new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Use knowledge of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association SMACNA for ductwork installation.
  • Order materials in advance for projects or work with purchasing team.
  • Execute work independently and able to supervise and lead multiple crews to complete projects.
  • Proactively evaluate possible obstacles to project completion and determine possible solutions in partnership with super intendent or builder and management.
  • Help schedule projects and appropriate technician and installer support to achieve project deadlines.
  • Attend team meetings as needed.Required Skills & Experience HVAC Residential Sheet-Metal Crew Leader
    • Years of experience in Heating and Cooling with Residential Custom Homes and Commercial Projects
    • Must have current Connecticut SM, S or D trade license.
    • Able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
    • Must have experience to demonstrate pro-active approach to problem solving.
    • Strong decision-making ability.
    • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also perform independently.
    • Excellent attendance is an essential function.

          • Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
          • Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
          • Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
          • Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
