Job Description Social Worker – Preventive Family Services (Bilingual English/Spanish Required) Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Ability to work until 8:00 PM two evenings per week required Onsite: 5 days per week Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm Hourly Pay: $30–$32/hour – Bilingual (English/Spanish) Position Overview A community-based Preventive Family Services program in Brooklyn is seeking a full-time Bilingual Social Worker (English/Spanish) . This temp-to-perm role supports families referred through the child welfare system by addressing safety concerns, strengthening family functioning, and helping prevent future system involvement. There is strong potential for long-term placement based on performance and program needs. What You’ll Be Doing Manage a caseload of families and provide in-home, virtual, and community-based support Assess family safety, risk factors, and overall functioning Develop and adjust service plans in collaboration with families Support families through court-related meetings and required conferences Coordinate with external providers and community resources Conduct home visits to evaluate living environments Advocate for families and assist with navigating services Complete required documentation and case notes Participate in supervision, trainings, and team collaboration Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy required Fluency in Spanish required Experience working with children, adolescents, or families Willingness to conduct field work, including home visits Apply Today This is a strong opportunity for Social Workers seeking meaningful field-based work with a clear pathway to permanent placement.
